About the Event
How can we create a system for supporting risky play in preschool that says “yes” to the benefits while also keeping children safe (and staying compliant!)? One tool that outdoor preschool programs use for this is a Risk Benefit Assessment. Learn about this tool, how to evaluate your own program activities for benefits and risks, and how to develop related policies and practices. Participants will have the chance to practice using the tool in different scenarios and for their own program activities.
This is a 3 virtual hour training and is offered at a sliding scale, with a recommended contribution of $55 USD. Tools to conduct Risk Benefit Assessments at your location will be provided. Please email rachel@twigandthread.com for group discounts.
